Video Ad Campaign

Strategy

Poco Productions was approached by Mandom Corporation to produce creatives for an ad campaign for their brand Heroine Make’s new eyeliner product range. 

As the brand already had strong loyalty among millennials, they were looking at targeting Gen Zs for this ad campaign.

Objectives was to reinforce the product’s durability and waterproof capabilities while also demonstrating it’s easy application process.

Concept

A series of 4 videos was proposed, consisting of a main video featuring 3 SKUs in the product range, and 3 shorter videos with focus on each SKU.

To communicate with the target audience, a retro-style visual treatment was proposed with 3 talents featured, each representing a “-core” style aesthetic, aligning with the TikTok trend for the suffix -core.

Video Synopsis: Hop along with the Gen Z squad as they get ready to go out, showcasing diverse aesthetics united by one essential item: Heroine Make Prime Liquid Eyeliner – the must-have makeup staple for every occasion!

Execution

The production process took around 2 months from scripting & storyboarding to final delivery.

A casting call was conducted to identify the best talent to represent each “core” groups, locations were scouted and secured for the shoot and onsite production was done over 2 days.

All 4 videos were then sent to post production for editing and revisions with the client.
